A Sneak Peek of Maharani ki Chatri - Jaipur

When I visited Jaipur in the year 2009 I sneaked in to the Maharani Ki Chatri not out of curiosity but I wanted to take a stop block of the sun going down the horizons ... When I entered the place there was pin drop silence and I could already smell history .
I couldn't stop photographing the structures, I was too overwhelmed just to be walking on a historical ground .I did'nt care if it was a cremation place but there was certainly an eerie feeling but that did'nt last long somehow a positive vibe took over .
I sat down and admired the beautiful structures and some of it I did'nt even understand why it was built that way , the only thing I was told that each structure is dedicated to a Royal figure . As I moved ahead I did'nt believe what I saw ... There were ashes lying on the ground ,there was a broken matka .. and I was told those are the ashes of Maharani Gyatri Devi who had passed away just a couple of days back ... The sun went down , I got my shot and I moved out witnessing a place where general public is not allowed to enter ... It was just a sneaky brush with history and royalty.
